Fabrication and transplant of tissue from other parts of the body to create new facial skin, jaw, lips, ears or other facial structures. The procedure is used for large defects after trauma or cancer resection.

Regional Flap Surgery
Transfer of tissue from the head and neck and chest region to the face, head or neck region to reconstruct a defect.

My Practice:

Dr. Anas Eid is a facial plastic surgeon who provides a comprehensive list of facial plastic surgery procedures, including: cosmetic surgery, craniofacial surgery, trauma surgery, facial nerve rehabilitation, and reconstructive surgeries of the face, and head and neck region.

A respected facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Eid specializes in complex reconstructive surgery of the face, and head and neck, including microsurgical reconstruction. He also offers aesthetic surgery such as rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and facelift surgery. Dr. Eid is also specialized in complex facial reanimation surgery both in adults and children.

His clinical and research interests focus on 3D reconstruction of facial deformities, lymphatic mapping, lymphedema surgery, facial reanimation, and innovative reconstruction in complex facial deformities. Dr. Eid has been actively involved in international and humanitarian work. He participated in several mission trips for craniofacial surgery and plastic surgery with Smile Train and Operation Smile. Dr. Eid is an avid traveler and lived on several continents throughout his life. He also received his medical and surgical training in Europe, the Middle East, and the United States which gained him a unique and universal experience.

Dr. Eid enjoys providing compassionate surgical care for his patients, teaching, and doing volunteer work. He enjoys participating in volunteer teams that offer surgery and medical relief to those in need locally and in developing countries around the world.

Dr. Eid currently serves as the Chief of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Regional One Health (The Level 1 trauma center of the midsouth region). Dr. Eid is passionate about facial trauma surgery and reconstructive surgery for both trauma survivors and cancer survivors. He specializes in using 3D computer-assisted modeling for patient reconstruction and trauma repairs.

Dr. Eid served as part of a selected team of global experts committee that created the World Health Organization’s patient Safety Curriculum for Multi-professional Healthcare Providers. He was also part of the steering committee that developed the Safe Surgery Saves Lives initiative of the World Health Organization. Dr. Eid is passionate about patient access to healthcare and equitable healthcare policies and served as a representative to the Department of Public Information of the United Nations.

Dr. Eid is actively involved in research and is the author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters. Additionally, he has given over 30 national and international lectures and scientific meeting presentations and taught courses nationally and internationally.
